Born and raised in San Francisco, Gilda began to sing at a very early age. Both her parents
being opera singers and met in New York City performing in Verdi's Rigoletto, where her mother sang the leading role, Gilda.
Gilda studied classical and modern music for many years, and received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Dominican in California where she studied singing, piano, composition, dance and theater.
Gilda has performed in numerous shows in the US and Europe, including; A Chorus
Line, Bye Bye Birdie, Revue du Ragtime, Pippin , Evita , Rogers-Hart Revue, The
Streets of New York (soloist accompanied by a big band),The Swing Show, and others.
She has lived in France since 1990 and now devotes herself entirely to jazz.
She has performed in concerts with some famous musicians, and has been performing under her own name for the last fifteen years, usually accompanied by a trio.
Gilda now proposes two new and exciting performances
Revisiting the Standards, singing a wide range of styles ˆ Duke Ellington, Horace Silver, Sonny Rollins, Miles Davis, Chick Corea and original compositions, Gilda takes us on a trip back to revisit those unforgettable jazz standards. She offers a fresh harmonic and rhythmic approach, combined with the original sound of an international group of musicians.
Since swing is such an intrinsic part of jazz, Gilda wants to help us discover it ˆ or rediscover it.

New repertoire, entertwined with personal compositions enabling Gilda to trace her roots back to the colors of California.
